Some of the 300 to 500 people who tried to lynch a black teenager charged with raping a 14-year-old girl. The lynching was foiled when Tennessee National Guard troops shot and stabbed dozens of the attackers, four of them fatally, after tear gas proved ineffective (Shelbyville, 1934) .

Florida police officer James Duckett is fingerprinted after his arrest for murder. He'd asked 11-year-old Teresa McAbee to get in his car, presumably to take her home since it was late. He then took the girl to an isolated area, where he raped her and then drowned her in a river, 1987 .

Former NOPD officer Antoinette Frank is escorted out of the restaurant where she and her boyfriend murdered three people during a robbery. The jury had toured it during her trial. Frank had returned to the scene in her patrol car, pretending to be first responder (Louisiana, 1995) .
